I don't know man. A lot of people say a watt is a watt, and all amps sound the aforementioned united nations-clipped. I don't believe that at all though.

I believe 500 watss IS 500 watts, when information technology comes to Power, but SQ to me is TOTALLY different. I don't see how 2 500watt amps can take different internals and sound the exact same. To me, damping factors plays a big roll in SQ for deep bass.

I had a trash 1300wrms Ultimate 1300S and the lows were "loose" and "faint", but with the exact same songs with my PG 1200.one and my Brutus 1500D, the lows were "tighter" and way more "powerful" feeling.

Anyway....I believe damping factors play a large roll in depression bass reproduction, and the JL's have damping factors 500 and over. The Hifonics have similar 150. But I remember afterward a certain point the damping cistron doesn't actually affair, or is sufficient plenty. 150 is excellent, 500 is like WHOA, but you lot might not fifty-fifty detect the difference since they are both high upwards at that place. Just if ane were like 50 or something, you'd probably be able to tell the differnce between that amp and the 150, or betwixt that amp and the 500.

a watt is a watt. its all the other features in the amp that makes it sound different. (ex. crossover) the JL amps are better IMO, merely ihave used the zx6400 and you volition not be disappointed. i regret e'er selling the thing compared to my autotek amps at present. if your an SQ freak on a budget, id say get the hifonics amps and put the leftover money into some sound dull or maybe a nicer install. if your install *****, your unabridged system will ****, no affair what equipment you are using.

Which do u recall is better WarDrumz? Ive heard the JL audio amps in the store and I really liked how make clean they were with no noticeable baloney yet they were really expensive effectually 350 for highs and 400 for bass which sounds like too much to me. Do yall think I will be able to observe a difference in SQ between the JL and hifonics? I mean if not so information technology would be a big waste material of coin to get with the JL'south.

I don't think you'll hear a difference betwixt the two. My Hifonics sounds keen.

I actually don't know what BETTER is. It depends on which amp has the features your looking for for your particular setup. But I'd become with the Hifonics. Cheaper, every bit in price, and you lot probably won't even hear an audible departure.

But base of operations ur decision on how much ud like to spend.I would have Jl if ur doing a loftier finish setup.If its just center of the road Hifonics is fine.Ull notice alot fo people in this forum love them things.

I get sick and tired of hearing about the Hifonics. At that place is too much out at that place to just exist stuck on just i **** brand.

The only way I would accept a Hifonics amp over a JL amp is if budget was an issue.

and to about 95% of the caraudio.com customs, budget is an result. almost everybody hither would take the jl over a hifonics, merely is it worth the extra money? i don't think it is.

this is the beginning fourth dimension i've seen a thread which mentioned both JL and Hifonics and somebody is really complaining about people raving nearly Hifonics. I guess this is a skillful thing, people always complained near the JL people. Your telling me that if you had a JL amp sending 500watts to a sub and then a hifonics amp sending 1000watts to a sub that can handle information technology, the setup with the JL amp would sound better? i don't think so. everybody has their own opinion, which is why everybody has differnt setups. i'grand not saying your wrong or you lot are correct. both companies are successful, so that makes me believe that they are both correct.

I just got my PG Tantrum and am stoked well-nigh it. I have been a long fourth dimension JL buyer, and just recently made the modify. It took alot too, but I am non dissapointed past any means.

IMO, id like to say i run JL, as opposed to I run Hifonics the cheesiest sounding brand proper noun amp out there. Thats if you desire to call it name brand. Id buy something of better quality at a cheaper cost than the both of them. If you like Hifonics no offense to you, if your happy thats what matters.
